Impact on Marketing Spend
Join Geoff Ramsey for a State of the Union update on COVID-19’s impact on marketing spend, followed by leading agency, publisher, and tech execs comparing notes with him on what they’re seeing in the marketplace. While media buyers are increasing pessimistic about future ad spend (eMarketer) and hopes for a V-shaped recovery are all but gone, an interesting divergence between the buy- and the sell-side has become apparent. According to a poll conducted by IAB, buyers are more apt to look at virus-indicators to inform their spend while sellers rely economic gauges. The result? The buyside is forecasting spend -33% while the sellside is saying -21%. Join this session to learn the extent of the decline and the timeline to recovery.
